Fairborn, FL received its SolSmart Silver designation in 2026. As part of the SolSmart process, Fairborn reviewed its permitting and inspection procedures, identified opportunities to update City Code, and provided staff training on solar technology. The City also created new public tools such as permitting checklists, zoning guidance, and consumer protection resources.
